The Ark Labs recently traveled from Florence, AL to Lisbon, Portugal for Web Summit, “Europe’s Largest Technology Marketplace,” where we met potential investors, other companies, and startup professionals.
On top of the amazing experiences we had and relationships we formed, we represented North Alabama exceptionally well. Not only was Ark Labs selected as one of 200 companies to pitch in the pitch competition, but we then made it to the semifinals where only 33 companies were selected to pitch again.
We impressed judges and the audience as our CEO, Robbie Hillis, explained how our product will play a small part in changing the world. From learning water patterns to preventing damage to saving water, there was nothing else like The Ark Labs at Web Summit.
A few other teams from America attended Web Summit, but The Ark Labs was the only Alabama group to represent the startup communities in Alabama, North Alabama, and The Shoals.
The investors and professionals we heard from gave us great advice to move forward and improve our product and our brand.
Our company has taken off quicker than we ever expected and excelling at Web Summit was yet another sign of that.
We are proud to represent the Alabama startup community and be a small part in saving money and water for the rest of the world.
